SPOTLIGHT

Between the EPCI 2013 and 2017 CMPC pulp notably increased the use of FSC certified fibres

WWF values high recycled fibre levels in tissue products which is reflected in the scoring method. Use of recycled fibres for short-lived and end of life-cycle products such as tissue plays an important role in resource efficiency.

“As CMPC we are proud to participate in the EPCI index, in addition to CMPC Celulosa now incorporating our subsidiaries CMPC Tissue and CMPC Papeles for the first time. CMPC has a strong commitment towards sustainability, measuring and managing our impact in the environment and seeking to continuously diminish our ecological footprint.” - Guillermo Turner, Corporate Affairs Manager, CMPC
